Brandenburg Gate
The Brandenburg Gate used to be a symbol of the division between two sides of the city, but became a symbol of unity after the demolition of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

The best month to visit Berlin is May or September. The hot summers can be a bit much for some people, and it also rains more often during the hot season, so spring and autumn are the perfect alternative. Early spring is still cold, recovering from the winter, so May is the best choice, while September is the last month that sports some pretty warm temperatures.
